Summary

Biography

Jeff Pool made what was probably UTPA's most important hit (out of 441 total) in 56 games last season. With the Broncs trailing in the eight inning and facing elimination from the Sun Belt Tournament, he lined a two-run double to upset Jacksonville, 3-2, saving the Broncs to fight another day in Mobile, Alabama.     Pool batted .276, third on the team, and collected 36 other hits, including two other game-winners. He also did a solid job at shortstop, where his rang and spirit shored up a good defense. His walks-to-strikeout ratio was third on the team-17 walks, 19 K's.     At 5-11 and 175, pool starred for Taylor JC and Round Rock Westwood HS before coming to UTPA. He's majoring in Business Technology, minoring in Political Science.
