Biography

Kenneth (Kenny) Halligan is the team's other good freshman prospect catcher, so he shares with Jess Gutierrez the job of watching to learn from older catchers.     Halligan batted .315 as a catcher and earned a 6-1 record pitching for Hawarden HS in Iowa. He is. a versatile all-'round athlete with four letters in baseball and cross county, three in track. He was first team All-Conference, MVP and best defensive player in baseball for coach Steve Johnson.     Majoring in Biology, the-working Halligan plans to become a chiropractor.
