Biography

Richard Crenshaw's team-leading five saves provided a vital spark that gained the Broncs a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on the final day of the 1996 regular schedule.     Crenshaw, a big righthander, 6-2 and 190, became a stopper who cooled off some hot Sun Belts bats. His 0-2 record was deceptive; his saves were decisive; and his 3.60 ERA ranked third on the team. He led the team with 23 appearances on the mound.     He came to UTPA after good years at Centeral HS in Lufkin, Texas, and at Angelina JC in East Texas.
