Biography

Mike Karow led the entire Sun Belt Conference, 10 baseball-strong universities, in earned-run average going into the 1996 SBC Tournament. He finished with a 3.52 ERA and his 7-5 record led the Broncs in victories.     A stylish lefthander, Karow also led the team in strikeouts (77), games started (16) and complete games (6). He pitched and played center field for Tyler JC after being All-District in both sports at Bryan HS. The Bronc stopper is 6-2 and 188, majoring in Business.        Karow's great grandfather, Marty Karow, coach Al Ogletree when the Bronc coach was an All-Southwest Conference catcher at Texas A&M in 1950. Coach Karow moved to Ohio State and Mike hails from Columbus, Ohio.
