Biography

Matt Peters serves as Bronc co-captain for 1998 ( with T.D. Taylor). Petters batted a steady .281 in 1997 while providing some fiery leadership afield and at bat.     Now Petters is expected, along with the other upperclassmen, to lead this ballclub to new heights with mostly a new roster.     Petters joins outfielder Jeff Moore as the only two three-year lettermen. Petters has stolen 11 straight bases without being caught. His speed helps him cover much of spacious Jody Ramsey Stadium.     Peters lettered nine times at Eldorado High in Texas - three years for Coach Bubba Williams in baseball, two in football and four years in golf. He's a rare college athlete who swings a bat and a club.     Matt Petters, 5-8 and 163, is majoring in Kinesiology, minoring in English.
