Summary

Biography

T.D. Taylor proved himself the sparkplug that powered the Broncs into the 1997 Sun Blet Tournament, as much as any player did. He led all the regulars by hitting .313 with six homers among 52 hits. He also was struck by pitched balls 15 times, a Bronc record.     Taylor returns as a senior captain (along with Matt Peters). Taylor already is penciled in as the opening-day shortstop, moving from third base where he did a great job in 1997. This multi-talented senior is a real competitor, a leader in all phases of the game. His senior leadership is a key to 1998's rebuilding team.     Taylor played well for Georgetown High, making All-State in both football and baseball. He played for Navarro JC in 1995 and 1996 after tansferring there from Texas A&M.     T.D. Taylor calls himself "The shortest and heaviest Bronc," at 5-9 and 185. He is majoring in Kinesiology, minoring in History.
