Biography

Saul Galan is a veteran pitcher who learned a lot about NCAA Division I baseball asa redshirt Bronc squad member in 1997. He figures to pitch in relief for UTPA in 1998.     Galan made All-Valley at Mercedes High, then gained more experience pitching for The University of Texas at Brownsville-Texas Southmost College. He played for Coach Dan Derryberry at Mercedes.     At 6-2 and 215, Saul Galan could help the 1998 Broncs by coming in and putting out fires from his spot on the mound. He is majoring in Kinesiology, minoring in Spanish.
