Classroom - Brown was selected to the UTPA Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll for the first time in her career... posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the fall semester en route to earning Dean[apos]s List First Honors... cited as a Dean[apos]s List Second Honors recipient during the spring semester... selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club in both the fall and spring semesters.
Elsik High School
Brown was part of a Elsik High School track and field program that made a clean sweep during her senior season en route to capturing the Texas State, regional and district team championships... recorded a personal-best time of 57.10 in the 400-meter dash during her prep career... garnered Most Improved Player honors for her high school team... earned four letters in track and field.
Off the Track
Brown is the daughter of Kelly Brown... has two sisters - Thelma and Karen - and one brother - Kevin... was born on Dec. 5, 1986... majoring in pre-med biology... chose UTPA over McNeese State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Sam Houston State.
