Outdoor - Ferris won six meets during the outdoor track and field season... finished in the top five of an event 10 times... captured her first title of the season at the Border Olympics with a hurl of 168-2 in the hammer throw... finished first at the Bobcat Open in the hammer throw with a hurl of 172-1... finished first at the Texas Invitational with a hurl of 173-5 in the hammer throw... earned first place honors at the Texas Twilight in the hammer throw with a hurl of 177-5... placed runner-up honors in the hammer throw with a hurl of 170-8 at the Rice Twilight... collected second place laurels at the ASU/David Noble Relays in the hammer throw with a hurl of 160-5...finished third overall with a throw of 44-6.25 in the shot put at the Border Olympics... earned fourth place honors at the Texas Invitational with a throw of 43-1.75... Outdoor - The UTPA sophomore earned her first trip to the NCAA Division I Midwest Regional Championships in the hammer throw where she recorded a distance of 178-6 en route to finishing 17th overall... finished in the top five of an event 10 times during the outdoor track and field season... captured her first title of the season at the Rice/Bayou Classic with a throw of 172-0 in the hammer throw... finished first at the Houston Invitational with a hurl of 173-8 in the hammer throw... finished second overall in the hammer throw and shot put at the Bobcat Open with throws of 153-1 and 44-6, respectively... finished second overall with a throw of 148-10 in the hammer throw at the ASU/David Noble Relays... earned runner-up honors at the Border Olympics with a throw of 45-1.5 in the shot put, which was the fourth-best throw in program history... finished second overall with a throw of 155-1 in the hammer throw at the Texas Twilight... Indoor - Ferris captured the title at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet with a throw of 42-5.5 in the shot put... finished third overall at that meet with a throw of 47-3.25 in the weight throw... earned fourth-place honors with a throw of 46-6 in the weight throw... Outdoor - Ferris earned three individual championships in the shot put during her freshman campaign... won the shot put title with a throw of 43-2.5 at the Angela Proctor Classic... won the crown with a throw of 42-8 at the Rice Twilight... captured the crown with a throw of 40-1 at the Border Olympics... earned third-place honors with a season-best throw of 43-6.5 at the Houston Invitational... finished second overall with a throw of 154-9 in the hammer throw at the Houston Invitational... finished third overall with a throw of 150-1 in the hammer throw at the Angela Proctor Classic... Indoor - The UTPA freshman finished sixth overall with a throw of 41-6 in the shot put at the Houston Indoor Classic.

Dillard McCollum High School
Ferris was a four-time district champion in the shot put during her prep career at Dillard McCollum High School... qualified for the Texas State Track and Field Championships during her senior season in the shot put... holds the school record for the shot put with a toss of 41-6... owns the Memorial Stadium record with a throw of 39-0 in the shot put... won the Whataburger Relays in the shot put during her senior season... was a second team all-district performer in basketball during her senior campaign... earned honorable mention all-district laurels during her junior season... garnered second team all-district honors as a sophomore for the volleyball squad... cited as an all-district academic selection during her junior and senior campaign... earned eight letters during her prep career at Dillard McCollum High School... was a member of the Key Club, Rodeo Club and School for Leadership.
