Outdoor - Lopez collected six top-five finishes during the outdoor track and field season... captured her first championship of the season at the Border Olympics in the triple jump with a distance of 38-3... earned second place honors in the triple jump with a distance of 38-2.25 at the Bobcat Open... placed second overall at the Tom Tellez Invitational with a distance of 38-6.25 in the triple jump... finished second overall in the triple jump with a distance of 38-8.25 at the Texas Invitational... earned fourth overall at the Rice Twilight in the triple jump with a distance of 38-6... collected fourth place laurels in the triple jump at the ACU Last Chance Meet with a distance of 38-9... finished sixth overall at the ASU/David Noble Relays in the triple jump with a distance of 38-6.25... Outdoor - The UTPA sophomore recorded a personal-best distance of 39-2.50 in the triple jump en route to securing third-place honors at the Texas Twilight... finished fourth overall in the triple jump with a jump of 35-9 at the Border Olympics... finished fifth overall in the triple jump with a distance of 38-2.25 at the ASU/David Noble Relays... earned six top-10 finishes during her sophomore campaign... Classroom - Lopez was selected to the UTPA Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll for the first time in her career... cited as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member during the fall and spring semesters.

2005
Outdoor - Lopez finished sixth overall with a time of 1:02.51 in the 400-meter dash at the Border Olympics... earned fourth-place honors at the Rice Twilight with a time of 1:03.41 in the 400-meter dash... placed fifth overall in the triple jump with a distance of 35-5 at the Angela Proctor Classic... Indoor - The UTPA freshman competed in one event during the indoor track and field season at the Hyatt Regency Invitational... Classroom - Lopez was selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during the fall semester.

PSJA High School
A standout at PSJA High School, Lopez earned 11 letters during her prep career - four in track and field, four in volleyball, two in basketball and one in soccer... voted Athlete of the Year during her senior season... was a district champion in track and field while receiving Most Valuable Performer honors for the Wolverines... competed in several events during the track and field season, including 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes, long jump and triple jump... selected as the Most Versatile Player and Offensive Player of the Year for the volleyball squad during her final campaign... selected as the team[apos]s top defensive performer for the basketball team... graduated in the top 10 percent of her class... selected as the Homecoming Queen for PSJA High School as a senior.

Lopez is the daughter of Ana Bertha Lopez... was born on Jan. 20, 1986... majoring in kinesiology... chose UTPA over University of Texas.
