Nicknamed "Lam," Ung provides power from the plate and three years of solid collegiate experience for the Broncs... Joined the Broncs in 1999 after a solid junior college career at Central Arizona JC and made a big impact on the team... Looks to be one of the team leaders this season, both on and off the field.

1999 (Junior Season): Ung hit .282 with six home runs and six doubles... Started 32 games and appeared in a total of 40... Ung had a slugging percentage of .500 after racking up 55 stolen bases... Was among the team leaders in both RBI and runs scored with 24 and 23, respectively... Had a solid .983 fielding percentage and committed just four errors in 239 chances.

Central Arizona Junior College: In two years under Coach Clint Myers at Central Arizona JC, Ung put together two solid years... Over the two seasons, Ung hit .300 with six home runs, 48 RBI, 20 doubles, and a pair of triples.


Tec de Monterrey Campus Sonora Norte: Ung was a three-sport at Tec de Monterrey Campus Sonora Norte, competing in baseball, football, and soccer... His senior year Ung hit .300 with five home runs... Ung was named the MVP of his football team in 1995.

Personal: Lamberto is the son of Lamberto Ung and Sara Blanco... Lamberto is majoring in manufacturing engineering.
