Outdoor - Garcia finished ninth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.59 at the Angela Proctor Classic... was 11th at that meet in the 100 meter dash, crossing the finish line in 13.54... Indoor - Redshirted... Classroom - The UTPA freshman was named to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club in the fall of 2003.

High School - Garcia captured nine district championships during her prep career at Lyford High School... won four in the 4x200 relay, three in the 4x100 relay and two in the 200 meter dash... qualified for the regional meet in all four years of her high school days... qualified for the regional meet in both the 4x100 meter relay and 4x200 meter relay.

Off the Track - Garcia is the daughter of Armando and Elvira Garcia... was born on May 9, 1985... has one sister - Jaclyn, who was a member of the UTPA volleyball team... majoring in education.
