Outdoor - Garcia crossed the finish line in 2:25.06 in 33rd place at the Rice Bayou Classic for a career-best time in the 800 meters... placed seventh in the 800 meters at the Angela Proctor Invitational with a time of 2:31.64... Indoor - Garcia competed in two events during the indoor season, placing 11th at the Houston Indoor Classic, crossing the finish line in 2:35.21.

Outdoor - Redshirted... Indoor - Garcia finished 27th in the one-mile race at the Houston / RunSport All-Comers Meet with a time of 6:10.95... Classroom - Garcia was selected as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member during the spring semester.

2003
Cross Country - Garcia recorded her best finish of the season at the New Mexico State Lobo Invitational in 58th place.

High School
Garcia won the district championship in the high jump in three consecutive seasons... captured the district title in the 1,600 meters race as a junior... was named Most Valuable Player for the cross country and track and field teams in each of her four seasons... recorded a top time of 5:28 in the 1,600 meters, 2:22 in the 800 meters and a high jump mark of 5-2.
