"I had some reservations about moving halfway across the country to come here initially, but I was greeted with a very warm introduction and I fell in the love with the warmth of the people in the Rio Grande Valley," Riley said. "My coach, David Thorn, helped me to identify how academics were just as important as athletics which has led me to a successful career. No matter where I live, I always remember the kind and humble people that helped me to become the woman I am today."
