Reggie Tredaway spent 31 years with Pan American baseball, three as a player and 28 as a coach, that saw the program’s first and only College World Series (CWS) appearance in 1971 and 10 NCAA tournament appearances.

As a sophomore in 1969, Tredaway was named to the NCAA All-American, ABCA All-American, and All-District VI teams after leading the upstart Pan American team to their first NCAA tournament appearance. He led the team in RBI (33), home runs (4), doubles (7), and total bases (59).

In the 1971 CWS season, Tredaway played in all but two games and led the team in RBI (36), doubles (9), and home runs (6). He helped Pan American finished fourth of eight teams during their run in the CWS.

After graduating in 1971, Tredaway returned to Pan American as assistant coach to hall of famer Al Ogletree where he served in that position for 23 years. During his time as a coach, Pan American appeared in the NCAA district and regionals eight times and even hosted the Midwest regional in 1976. Tredaway spent five years at the helm of the baseball program from 1998-2002 before retiring from the sport.

Tredaway coached many hall of famers during his tenure at Pan American including Ricky Brockaway (1974-75), Garry Dippel (1987-90), Ron Edquist (1973-76), Jack Ewing (1974-75), Don Guillot (1983-87), Joe Hernandez (1974-75), Jim Hickey (1982-83), Mitchell Moran (1981-83), Jim Procter (1974-75), Tommy Simpson (1971-75), Bobby Rutledge (1975-78), Jesse Trinidad (1974-76), and Leonard Tyrone (1976-79).

Tredaway was also honored as a member of the three baseball teams that were inducted into the hall of fame, including, the 1971, 1975, and 1983 baseball teams.
