In 2015 the 1962 men's tennis team was inducted into the  Hall of Fame, celebrating their exceptional 1962 season under hall of fame head coach Harry Meng. The Broncs, led by players such as hall of famer Don Russell and Gerry Wortelboer, were the defending NAIA champions and successfully defended their title by winning the NAIA National Championship and the Big State Conference Championship.

The season included matches against prominent Southwest Conference schools, such as Texas A&M, Texas, and Texas Tech. The Broncs' schedule featured tournaments like the Rice Intercollegiate Tournament and the Buccaneer Days Tournament The team had a 9-3 record and further showcased their talent at the 10th Annual Pan American Collegiate Tennis Tournament. This remarkable success marked the beginning of a golden era for Pan American tennis, with the team showcasing exceptional talent and camaraderie that set a high standard for the years to come.
