Participated in the NCAA Singles Championship in 1977 … Participated in the NCAA Doubles Championship with Ricardo Eynavdi in 1977 … Helped team achieve a top-10 national ranking in 1978 … Joined the ATP Tour in 1978 and was ranked as high as 290thin the world … Participated in the 1979 and 1980 U.S. Opens … Two-time USTA National Champion … Selected to represent the United States at the Italia Cup, which was a 35-and-over Davis Cup competition … USPTA Maryland Pro of the Year in 2000 and was the USPTA Mid-Atlantic 35-and-over Player of the Year during his elite playing career … Returned to UTPA as the men's and women's tennis head coach from 2005-06 through 2007-08, posting a 30-30 record in women's tennis, including 15-8 in 2007-08.
 
"When I look around the campus, I'm amazed by how far this university has come," Hubbard said. "It's truly an honor to be inducted into the Hall of Fame with greats such as Luke JacksonOtto MooreFred Taylor and more. When I was here, we established Pan American as one of the top 25 teams in the country and I want to thank Coach Connor for taking a chance on a raw recruit and allowing me to be a part of that."
