Reagan High School: Three-time All-District selection, twice as an outfielder and once a pitcher... Led the team to a 47-23 record over the first three seasons and two trips to state playoffs before the 8-12 season as a senior... Missed most of his sophomore year with an ankle injury, but came back strong as a senior to earn first-team All-District honors and team MVP... Was second in Greater Houston Area in hitting as a senior with a .516 average and also third in strikeouts as a pitcher with 94.
