A talented pitcher who could help the Broncs over the next several seasons... Has developed as a pitcher and athlete during the fall... Attended Hill Junior College last year but did not play baseball due to an injury. 

Harlingen High School: Earned first-team All-District 32-5A and second-team All-Valley honors as a senior after hitting .390 and leading the team to a 19-10 record and a spot in the state playoffs... Was the Most Valuable Player of Valley EastWest All-Star Game played at Jody Ramsey Stadium... Was 1-0 as a pitcher before suffering a shoulder injury, pitching a one-hit shutout against Brownsville Porter... The team was 48-35 in his three seasons, reaching playoffs twice... Graduated in the top five percent of high school class.

Personal: Michael Ryan McMinn. Son of Henry and Debbie McMinn of Harlingen, Texas. Father played basketball at Texas A&I in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Born October 27, 1974 at San Benito, Texas. Majoring in accounting with plans to become a Certified Public Accountant following graduation.
