Weslaco High School: Three-time All-District 35-5A and two-time All-Rio Grande Valley Selection named by The (McAllen) Monitor and All-Area as chosen by the Valley Morning Star... Hit .571 with HR in 15 games as a senior as team was 13-2... Led Rio Grande Valley in hitting in both junior (.471) and senior year... Team complied 74-46 record in games he played during his four seasons... Led team to 26-13 record and berth in Region IV semifinals as a freshman while hitting .333... Had 11 HR in prep career... Had a game-winning triple to highlight 10 RBI-performance in 16-15 win over Edinburg as as senior... Also earned All-District, All-Area and All-Valley honors in football as a cornerback as a senior... Team advance to regionals in football during senior year... Ran 100 and 200 meters for the district champion track team as a senior... Played for Gary Lauer's first two seasons and for father Vincent Buffamonte during the final two seasons. 

Personal: Brian Vincent Buffamonte. Son of of Vinncent Buffamonte of Texas City, Texas. Born on October 27, 1974, at Lubbock, Texas. Father Vincent Buffamonte was a former professional bowler and currently is the head baseball coach at Texas City School. Sister Buffy Buffamonte is a freshman on UT-Pan American women's basketball team. Majoring in business with plans to coach after graduation.
