All-Sun Belt candidate who will asked to provide leadership to a young team... Does outstanding job of calling game and handling pitchers... Good Hitter... Will also see action as DH. 

(1994 Junior Season): Hit .233 while splitting time behind the plate... Tied for the team lead in home runs with four and tied for third on club in RBIs with 19... Almost one-third (9 of 28) of his hits were for extras bases... Third among regulars in slugging percentage at .392... Was 3/5 with 3 RBIs to spark team only conference road win, a 12-6 win at New Orleans on Mar. 26... Was 3-3 with a home run in a loss at Lamar on April 30... Had three RBIs in both games of doubleheader against Louisiana Tech on Mar. 5... Committed just four errors in 166 chances.

(1992-93 Odessa JC): Earned-Conference and All-Region honors as a sophomore after hitting .355 with nine home runs and 50 RBIs... Led team to 43-16 record and spot in state tournament... Had three-home run, 12-RBI game against Howard JC in game for conference championship... Hit .340 with one home run and 20 RBIs as a freshman, helping team to 45-12 mark and third place in Texas state JUCO tournament... Hit game-winning home run in the ninth inning against eventual national champion Pima JC.

Denton High School:  Earned All-District 5-5A honors as both a junior and senior...  Hit .370 with two home runs and 30 RBIs as a senior after batting .300 with two home runs and 25 RBIs as a junior...  Team was 15-8 and reached state playoffs during the 1990 season... Also played one year of football and basketball... Was member of Latin National  Honor Society.

Personal: Kris Joseph Slivocka. Son of Ricard and Denise  Slivocka of Denton, Texas. Born February 8, 1973 at Bayonne, New Jersey. Oldest of two brothers. Majoring in kinesiology and minoring in history with plans to coach following graduation.
